Day wise Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrival in Delhi & Old Delhi Sightseeing
Upon arrival at Delhi airport, a warm welcome with fresh flower garland by a representative or guide, guests will be transferred to their hotel. Upon arrival, the representative will assist with check-in procedures. (Check-in times differ by hotel but are typically between 1400 and 1500 hours.)
Mystery, magic, mayhem. Welcome to Delhi, the City of Djinns, and 25 million people. Like eastern Rome, India’s capital is littered with the relics of lost empires. A succession of armies stormed across the Indo-Gangetic plain and imprinted their identity onto the vanquished city, before vanishing into rubble and ruin like the conquerors who preceded them. Modern Delhi is a chaotic tapestry of medieval fortifications, Mughal mausoleums, dusty bazaars, colonial-era town planning, and mega malls.
Later, proceed for Old Delhi sightseeing. Starting your tour with a visit to Raj Ghat, this peaceful, very well-maintained park contains a simple black-marble platform marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948.
Next, you will be driven to Old Delhi market, just before entering the market you will embark on a Rickshaw Ride to steer through tiny lanes of Chandni Chowk. Ride past the majestic Red Fort and through the main Chandni Chowk Street straight to Khari Baoli; Asia’s biggest wholesale spice market selling all kinds of spices, herbs, nuts & food products like rice, tea etc. Hop on to your rickshaws and pass through the tiny lanes of Kinaari Bazaar; lane for Indian attire accessories like borders etc, Dariba Kalan; lane for silver market. Hop off and bid bye to your Rickshaw Puller at Jama Masjid; a beautiful pocket of calm at the heart of Old Delhi’s mayhem, the capital’s largest mosque is built on a 10m elevation. It can hold a mind-blowing 25,000 people.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 – New Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, head out to see the sights in New Delhi.
The tour begins with a visit to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a serene Sikh temple. Take in the spiritual atmosphere and witness the community kitchen where volunteers seamlessly serve meals.
Next, drive past India Gate, a grand war memorial, and prominent government buildings, showcasing the city’s modern architecture and historical significance.
Proceed to Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at the tallest brick minaret in the world. Explore the intricate carvings and the surrounding archaeological complex.
Drive to Humayun’s Tomb, the most perfectly proportioned and captivating of Delhi’s mausoleums, the monument that strongly influenced the Taj Mahal.
Photography stops at Lotus Temple, a stunning Bahá’í House of Worship known for its distinctive lotus-flower-inspired architecture and serving as a place of meditation and prayer for people of all faiths.
Overnight at the hotel
Day 03 – Delhi to Agra
After breakfast at the hotel, drive from Delhi to Agra (210 km / 4–5 hrs). Timings may vary according to road and traffic conditions.
Agra, a city in northern India, is renowned for being home to one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, the Taj Mahal. This exquisite white marble mausoleum, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of eternal love. In addition to the Taj Mahal, Agra boasts other historical gems like the Agra Fort, a UNESCO-listed fortress with a blend of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles.
On arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel and visit Mehtab Bagh and the Mohabbat-e-Taj show.
Mehtab Bagh is located on the left bank of the Yamuna River, opposite the Taj Mahal. The garden complex is approximately 300 square meters and perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal, offering one of the most scenic viewpoints of the monument.
In the evening, enjoy the enchanting Mohabbat-e-Taj show in Agra, where drama, dance, and music beautifully narrate the love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal against the stunning backdrop of the Taj Mahal. After the performance, savor a traditional Indian dinner nearby, reflecting on the magic of the evening. This memorable experience offers a glimpse into India’s rich cultural heritage.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 – Agra
At sunrise, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal. Built by a grief-stricken Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is phenomenal not only for its beauty but also for the deep planning and design behind its creation, and the ethereal idea of immortalizing love. Delicate marble carvings compete with intricate pietra dura inlay work for attention. Semi-precious stones such as Lapis-lazuli, Carnelian, Mother of Pearl, Agate, and Emerald are inlaid into floral and geometric patterns in the marble itself. (The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.)
After visiting the iconic Taj Mahal, return to the hotel for breakfast and freshen up. Later, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Agra.
Visit the Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. This fort is a masterpiece of design and construction, housing several exquisite structures such as Moti Masjid, Diwan-i-Aam, and Diwan-i-Khas.
Continue to Itmad-ud-Daula, a beautiful mausoleum built entirely in white marble and inlaid with semi-precious stones. Located on the banks of the Yamuna River, it reflects a strong Persian architectural influence.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 – Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Ranthambore
After breakfast at the hotel, drive from Agra to Ranthambore (300 km / 5–6 hrs). Timings may vary according to road and traffic conditions. En route, visit the historic city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri, an epic in red sandstone, was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1572–1585 A.D. A sonless Akbar visited Sufi Saint Sheikh Salim Chishti at Sikri seeking blessings, and was blessed with a son. In gratitude, he constructed his capital city here and named it Fatehpur Sikri. Later, due to water shortages and unrest in the northwest, Akbar had to abandon the city.
From the parking area, government-run buses will take you to the fort. Key attractions include the marble tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, Diwan-I-Aam, Diwan-I-Khas, Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai’s Palace, Pachisi Court, and Birbal Bhavan.
The Ranthambore National Park takes its name from the Ranthambore Fort located within its boundaries. Nestled amidst the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, the park covers an area of 392 sq. km of thick forest interspersed with scenic waterfalls. It is home to the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger along with chinkara, sambhar, cheetal, and more than 300 species of birds.
On arrival in Ranthambore, check in at the hotel, enjoy dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 06 – Ranthambore to Jaipur
In the morning, enjoy an exciting jungle safari in a private open jeep.
Later, return to the hotel for breakfast, then drive to Jaipur (190 km / 4 hrs). Timings may vary according to road and traffic conditions.
Jaipur – The Pink City – holds the distinction of being the first planned city of India. Renowned globally for its colored gems, the capital of Rajasthan blends the charm of its ancient history with the conveniences of a modern metropolis. Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, the Raja of Amber, who shifted his capital from Amber to this new city due to its growing population and increasing water scarcity. The city was designed by noted architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya following the principles of Vastu Shastra.
Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 07 – Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur.
Begin with a visit to the Amber Fort, one of the most famous and most-visited forts in India. Ascend and descend the fort by jeep. During the downhill journey, stop at Panna Meena ka Kund, a heritage square-shaped stepwell with adjoining stairs on all four sides and a room on the northern wall.
On the way back to the city, stop at Jal Mahal, the enchanting Water Palace, possibly the most serene sight amidst Jaipur’s lively atmosphere. Make short visits to Jewel and Carpet Workshops to see skilled local artisans at work, creating intricate masterpieces from raw materials.
Arrive at the City Palace, originally built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the 1720s, which still retains its regal charm and splendor. Next, explore Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an astronomical observatory containing eighteen massive stone measuring instruments built between 1728 and 1734.
Afterward, walk to the iconic Hawa Mahal for a photography stop and enjoy some free time in Jaipur’s vibrant local markets.
Return to your vehicle at the pre-defined time and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 08 – Jaipur to Delhi
